Alberdeen’s story begins with our founder, Albert Tampi. Growing up in a Seventh-Day Adventist family, Albert firmly believed in the teachings of Christianity, particularly that Jesus is God. This belief was passed down through generations of his family. However, as Albert entered college, his curiosity led him on a different spiritual journey.

Encouraged by his father, Albert began visiting mosques, learning more about Islam and its teachings. It was through these experiences that he discovered what he truly believed to be the path to truth—Islam. In a life-changing moment, Albert reverted to Islam, concluding that this was the true religion. His father’s unwavering faith and commitment to learning more about Islam became a significant source of inspiration for Albert.

A Life Dedicated to Conveying the Message of Islam
In 2007, Albert joined WhyIslam, an organization dedicated to educating others about Islam. This period was marked by heightened interest in the religion due to world events, and Albert felt compelled to take an active role in clearing misconceptions and sharing the beauty of Islam with others. For more than two decades, he has worked tirelessly to convey this message, reaching countless individuals through his efforts with WhyIslam.

Today, as part of his ongoing mission, Albert has created Alberdeen, a brand that allows Muslims to share their faith with simplicity. The concept is clear: through fashion, Muslims can give the message of Islam without saying a word. Each piece of clothing is a statement, an invitation for conversation, and a reminder of the oneness of Allah.
